Bajaj auto was established in 1945 , when Kamal Nayan Bajaj started to trade two wheeler and three wheeler to sell in the name of Bachraj Trading Corporation. Initially, this company used to trade a motorbikes from Europe and sell it in Indian markets. After the independence of India, In 1959, taking a license from India government, Bajaj started to manufactured the two wheeler and three wheeler vehicles and also signed a partnership deal with a Piaggio an Italy company. Within this deal, Bajaj got a license to manufacture and sell a Vespa scooter. Vespa was a succesful product of a Piaggio that has a huge market in Europe since 1946 and was loved too much. In India and Nepal also, Vespa got a good response in the  market. From the inspiration of a Piaggio Vespa the world famous scooter, Bajaj also launched it’s first scooter Chetak in 1972. After API Lambarta, Chetak became a second most popular scooter in Indian market. 150 CC, 2 stroke engine, 7.5 BHP power and with Four gears was designed for total Indian market.
